Emily is a North Carolina native who received her undergraduate degree at the University of South Carolina and doctorate in physical therapy at East Carolina University. She went on to complete an orthopedic residency in 2017, becoming a board certified orthopedic clinical specialist,  and later became certified in orthopedic manual therapy in 2019. When she is not working with patients, she enjoys cooking, yoga, and spending time with her husband and two rescue dogs.  

Dr. Alison Maskell adopted North Carolina as her home state in 2012 after moving with her husband, Brian.  She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science (2003) and Doctor of Physical Therapy (2006) from East Tennessee State University. In 2011, she completed an orthopaedic residency through Evidence In Motion.  

Dr. Maskell has worked in a variety of settings to include orthopedics, home health, acute care, and skilled nursing. She is excited to be working with such a specialized population at Miller Concierge Physical Therapy. 

Dr. Maskell has 2 beautiful daughters, Ava and Lucy, and a dog named Blossom.  Physical fitness has been a huge part of Dr. Maskell’s life.  From running 7 half marathons, to competing in 2 figure competitions, and finally teaching group fitness classes for 10 years, she loves to keep healthy.  

When not working, Dr. Maskell can be found spending time with her family or sewing.   

Dr.  Marisa Lee was born and raised in North Carolina. She completed her  undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina in Chapel  Hill, where she earned a degree in elementary education. She later  pursued a doctorate in physical therapy from East Carolina University.  Dr. Marisa Lee is passionate in improving the quality of life for her  patients through personalized care, education, and effective treatment.  Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband,  daughter, and two cats, staying active, and experimenting with new  recipes in the kitchen.

Dr. Maria Batraki grew up in northeastern New Jersey. She earned her undergraduate degree in biology, graduating Cum Laude from Montclair State University, and went on to receive her doctorate in physical therapy from Dominican College in Blauvelt, NY. As a college athlete, she played volleyball, basketball, and even ice hockey.  

Maria is deeply passionate about educating patients who suffer from chronic craniofacial and temporomandibular pain, focusing on conservative treatment options and promoting healthier lifestyles. She is committed to creating personalized and effective care plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs.  

Maria is a devoted mother to her two children, Robert and Mila. She cherishes time spent with her husband, George, and their dog, Whiskey. Since moving to North Carolina, she has enjoyed exploring new restaurants, parks, and activities with family and friends.

Kayla is one of our admin staff. She is organized and enthusiastic. Parts of her job are to help with scheduling, answer insurance questions and perform other administrative tasks for us.

Kayla was recently married to her husband whom she met in college at Western Carolina University where she got her B.S. in Psychology. Kayla was a student athlete on the softball team at WCU. 

In her free time she enjoys going to the lake and doing outdoors activities with her husband and 3 dogs. They love DIY projects and are currently remodeling their house. She loves to cook and spend time with her family.

Jocelyn is our digital marketing specialist based in the Philippines. She is extremely enthusiastic about online marketing. She is hardworking, creative and resourceful. She has a strong desire to create and enjoys keeping up with developments in the digital marketing industry.

She is single in her personal life. She was raised in a big, happy family and learned to be self-sufficient at a young age. She worked overseas for a long time to support her family but now she is back in her hometown, spending time with her loved ones.

Jocelyn enjoys exploring new places, sceneries, and cultures. She loves watching DIY and life hacks videos. In her spare time, she attends Zumba classes.
