Dr. Leigh Miller, PT, DPT, CertDN, CCTT

Dr. Miller is a Raleigh, North Carolina native! She is a graduate of Leesville High School and Meredith College. Her father has been a general dentist in the Durham and Chapel Hill area for over 30 years and he recently has welcomed her brother, a UNC Prosthodontic specialist, along with herself, into his family practice. 

Dr. Miller was a double major at Meredith College, completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry while minoring in chemical physics. As an avid enthusiast for maintaining an active lifestyle, she was also a certified kickboxing and cycle instructor for many years. 

Prior to attending Physical Therapy school at Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA, Dr. Miller married her high school sweet heart, Chris. During physical therapy school she and Chris brought their beloved bloodhound, Keyser, into their family! 

Due to her personal connection with jaw pain and its complex correlation with dentistry, Dr. Miller felt a compelling call to specialize in TMJD. She attended her post-graduate residency in Princeton, NJ and became the only board certified Cervical & Temporomandibular Therapist (CCTT) in the “Triangle”. 

Dr. Miller loves helping patients who suffer from head, neck, and/or jaw pain as it relates to the TMJ complex. She is a member of the North Carolina Physical Therapy Society (APTA), the American Academy of Orofacial Pain (AAOFP), and the Physical Therapy Board of Craniofacial & Cervical Therapeutics (PTBCCT). 

When not enraptured by the jaw world, the Miller’s love spending time with their two daughters (Virginia Morgan & Charlotte), and 2 dogs (Keyser - Blood Hound & Phoebe - German Shepherd). They can often be found going to the beach, playing tennis, cheering on the Tar Heels, or racing cars!
